They are, however I'm showing her at the McCall ACBS show, at the end of July, and I would be embarrassed if it were to break down, while we were there, especially with passengers.

John, I say this with all sincerity and with compliments, if ever there were a perfect definition of optimist, you fit the bill!
It looks worse in person. The field coil assembly is rusted to hell, as is the head assembly on the commutator end.
I bought a new motor for $50. The headache saved is worth the money.Frederic

The culprit....or maybe victim in this instance. I did find the broken piece, and the evidence points to the former owner (aka the kid) holding the "Down" button....clean break.
