  • Question About The Big Day- June 6th?

    Tim,

Are you still planning to launch the big 31 footer on June 6th? If so, what time is splash time and where exactly will it happen? Will you take her out for a spin on the 6th or will that happen sometime in the future?

    June 6th Saratogan launch

    Hello Doug,
I'm pretty far behind on the Saratogan...I'll be painting all week and some functional testing. Jensen' Shipyard doesn't want to open up on Saturday, so that leaves the launch ramp in Griffin Bay, a short walk from Friday Harbor.

I'll either launch Friday evening at Jensen's or Saturday afternoon between 2 and 3PM due to tide at the ramp at Jackson's Beach in Griffin Bay.

There will no doubt be lots of loose ends and I have resigned myself to the fact that this will be sea trials only. With a little bailing wire and duct tape, the boat should float and make way under it's own power. Hopefully it will steer too........the great creator above (being a he, a she, an it, all of the above or none of the above willing.........

Hope to see you here Doug.......

I will be unable to make this launch as I am currently in New York.

Please take and post many pictures. Perhaps you will have another launch at the end of Summer????

        Robert....

...You may have missed some of the other postings in which Tim mentioned that the boat will not be ready to launch this weekend. He plans to put it in the water in maybe 3-4 weeks, at which point we'll schedule another Launch Party (in between regularly scheduled NWCBC events).

So, you might be able to make the launching after-all...
