Hi All:
BellBoyJohn has an Airguide tach, made in the late 50's or early 60's in mint condition and we are trying to get it to work with the 74 Merc 1150 inline six. I believe the electronics on his are the same as my 70 1350. I am using a modern Teleflex International red tach and it is set to 12 pole for the alternator. It works fine although I had to gang a couple of wires at the rectifier end. With the Airguide tach, we have only a black and green wire coming out of the tach. Will this even work with his Merc?
