help identifying year of mercury

hey all so when i got me boat a few weeks ago it had a older mercury 1000 100hp that's froze up can't find a model number but did find a serial number 241155 lower unit is good. just wanna maybe find out wut year and what options for a powerhead for this thing as my fiberform has the merc steering setup so it would be much easier to use this motor versus my johnsons that still don't run lol having to adapt to make em work.heres a couple pics that might help.

There should be a 7th number 214155?. If there is a 7th number it is a 1968 motor. Clint
