"California Girl " is just about done ! All that is left to do is hook up the controls, steering (Wed ) , mount the VHF portable radio bracket, do a little touch up painting ( yes the control box will be painted ) ,striping ( Today ) and wait for the spare tire cover that will be here Wed. Should have her completed this Thursday for the LaConner Boat Show that's coming up next weekend 15-16th. Looks like the weather will be good for the show as i don't want her to get wet ! This has been a knocked out drag out almost a one year project ! Will use her for meets on the smaller lakes ( Alder, Mayfield, Mason, Baker, etc ) and use Dorsett Farallon " Chippewa " for bigger lakes and out on Puget Sound. The way i came up with the Name " California Girl " was from the Beach Boys song " California Girls " that was popular at that time and besides she was manufacture at the Glasspar factory in California.
