I decided at this time i JUST CAN'T PART with the Farallon. Last night ( Sat ) i was out in the driveway in the dark with the spot lights on giving her ,her bubble bath for a appointment at 10 am Sunday. As i stood there wiping her down with " her " towel, i thought to myself "what am i doing " ! ! I called and canceled. He understood and told me to keep him in mind if i ever changed my mind. Chuck

Chuck,
You, my fellow boat junkie, are having a case of "Seller`s Remorse"!
If you feel like you did when leaving to go view your first car (or boat),or going on your first Date in High School, then you know you`re truly in trouble.
Realize too,you are not alone.

Chuck - I am transferring the title to Magic-craft to you.
Chuck
I have just acquired a title for a new boat made by Magic-craft in the late 1950’s. So far the boat has not cost me anything. Tonight when my wife gets back in town and finds out that I bought a 14’ Skagit she will ask what boat I am now going to get rid of. So I am going to tell her I sold the Magic-craft to Chuck Carey. That gets me off the hook. Now Chuck you are responsible for Magic-craft. When you get another compulsion to reduce your fleet, leave the Farallon alone, and “sell” the Magic-craft to another club member who is in pre-therapy. You get to keep the Farallon as well as help out another club member who is likely to need to pare their fleet at a later date. The really tough part will be figuring out who you pass it off to since there are so many qualified club members, especially serial boat owners, who will need a Magic-craft to hold in reserve. I hope you enjoy your new boat. The title is being sent by Western Union.Bruce H. Drake

Bruce is there really a Magic-craft ? Your wife better quit going out of town. She really took a great picture of the Farallon right by the northend of Bainbridge just before Miller Bay last summer. Best,ChuckAttached Files1957 17' Skagit Express Cruiser

Chuck's magic-craft
Chuck. Of course Magic-crafts exist if you are a true believer. I believe they changed their name in the 1960's to Day-dreamers. I am sure you qualify for both models. But only if you keep the Farallon. BruceBruce H. Drake

Boat Tease!! That's a new one on me!
I've been trying to figure out why you were selling? After all that work and effort. Boat Tease! Good name for a boat or a boat habit.
Still regret selling my Glasply 23 that I owned for 17 years. Boats get in your blood. Sort of like family. I spent about 4500 hours aboard my Glasply in every sea and weather condition, day and night you could imagine here in Puget sound and Juan De Fuca. "Polaris II" protected me and always brought me home.
Boats...inanimate objects, part science, part technology, part art, part persona of the builder, part persona of the owner/operator/restorer. That's why we love them.

Tim, One of the reasons was i needed a new challenge as i had finished the Glasspar G-3. Plus there was no way i could do another project ( the wife ) without selling one of the boats and then take that money for my new project and bank the rest. Now with the other 17' Skagit i have, i will just put money aside ( like i have done before ) as i go along working on it. No problem with the wife on that plan as she know i really like the Farallon and that would mean i would not be able to go out on the Sound this year unless i did a crash rebuilt on the Skagit. Btw i have had the Farallon 5 years today. For me that is long time except for the Rosario ( 8 years ) which i sold last summer. Chuck1957 17' Skagit Express Cruiser
