Hello everyone. I'm new to the site (and to boat restoration). I picked up a 1971 Sabrecraft. Not sure of the model, but it is a 21 footer with the convertible hard top and a 165 I/O Mercruiser.
From peeling off the old registration stickers, I found that it was originally a California boat. I'm curious how it made it's way here to Illinois.
If anyone has any info on these boats or pointers, I'm open to suggestions!
The boat is in decent shape. Needs an engine rebuild, have to check out the stern drive, floor and interior needed along with gauges as they have cracked. Then some fiberglass/gelcoat work. Should be fun...
