Dorsett Ice box
Originally posted by Tim McCrain, post: 19701I see nothing at all wrong with classing up a Dorsett accesory by installing it on a Skagit. I mean, gee whiz, that icebox has languished for decades in that Dorsett, don't you think it deserves the chance to finally move up the ladder?

I remember that project well. Show him the helm :BigWink1: That was another Island Boat Shop project.
I know were the ice box went. I use it to store sand paper rolls in to keep the moisture away from them.VeryBigSmile
It was getting pitched out into the dumpster so I did the old dumpster dive for it.Helmar Joe Johanesen

Just kidding about the cap and sweatshirt. The second to last picture was taken in 2009 with my son and i in the Farallon alongside a 1957 Skagit i own in 1996. You know that you have had to many boats when you are running alongside a former boat you had from 14 years ago! I sold it to GregJ who lives 4 houses from me so i see it all the time. That was the 1st of 11 Skagits i had among other boats as well. At the present i have a 20 Skagit that is a keeper ( last pic ) and a 17 i just starting on. What is your name other than FarallonPDX ? Will do Chuck thanks! I posted a new thread and pictures in the restoration forums... Man what a mess! But she cleaned up nice. A little more precise removal of the remaining floor and then the rebuilding can start...
