I'm posting this on behalf of our new member Gary Dempsey. He's having trouble posting. He said


New owner of a 1960 Skagit 16ft. with twin Evinrude Ski Twin 33's. I purchased the boat for the motors, controls, switches, buttons and tanks for my 1960 Lowell 18ft. Hardtop (aluminum) or my 1957 Crestliner 18ft. Hardtop (aluminum). After getting the Skagit I have second thoughts on dismantling it. So I looked for info. and found your site. Any thoughts on the project would be appreciated.

First things first, lets get your posting issue solved.
Try to click on my Name under my picture. A window should open.
If it does, look for Start a new Conversation.
Click on that and we can get started.
I will need the Username and Email that you used to register with. (Don't post it on line, just in the Conversation area as its private)
If that does not work for you, helmar@classicboatclub.com should.

As far as the Skagit, yes, we have had many restored here. I myself have done stringer up restorations so I can get at least one opinion for you to start off with. Get three or four more of them and then you can form your own
