We're new to this forum, and new to an old Bell Boy. We've acquired a 1958 16 ft. Bellboy and are trying to figure out the model - we've looked at fiberglassics.com, and found all sorts of wonderful information and pictures, but can't find our model. It doesn't have the fins, and it doesn't have the cabin. Any one have any ideas on where we might be able to look to find a match?

Welcome to the forum, and hopefully the club. If you post a picture, someone will be able to tell you what model, and possibly what year your boat is.

      We'd post a picture, but...

We've already started to work on this boat, replaced the transom, so therefore removed the topper. Nothing much to see at this point, but a hull! We decided the awful turquoise paint job the previous owner(s) did, did not do this boat justice, so have begun to remove the paint. We'd like to restore this boat to it's original look, so the real goal in tracking down the model, is to track down the paint color code for the red topper - after removing the turquoise, we found the gelcoat on the topper to be red, and the hull is an ivory. We were very thrilled to find the logo imprinted in gel coat of the hull!

        Identifying Your Boat...

Welcome aboard...we look forward to seeing your boat at future events, but in the meantime just take photos of the deck mold (already removed) and the hull from a few different angles. Even though you've already disassembled the boat, we'll need those photos in order to tell you about the model and year. (You can't trust titles you've been given regarding year...or sometimes even manufacturer, although you obviously know who built your boat.)
