I use the Fiberlay foam to foam under the floor. Acts as a sound barrier as well as floation. Holes were about 2 and 1/4 holes and 16 inchs apart. Takes a few pours to have it kick like this.

This was the old splashwell bulkhead that I was able to use as a pattern. Worked well other than the massive waste of storage room. I will fix that later on.

This just shows the Fiberglass cloth going down. You can see were I had used the plugs that I took out with the hole saw. I shaved off enough foam to put them back in and use a Epoxy glass hire mixed up slather to fill any voids.

This one is pretty much the same thing.

I think without the flash of the camera is all.

If I could explain everything, would I be doing this kind of work ? ;-)

This shows were I had fiberglassed up the transom.

This shows the new splashwell bulkhead setting in place. The legs get glassed down to the floor as well.

The whole floor has been covered with glass matt aand now trying to create some more storage space. Seems as the boat builders in the 50's figured you just had to pitch all your rubber fenders , ropes and such in the cabin area. The two holes will be for a pair of the larger fenders to go in on both sides.

One thing on this project is, it will be a Working classic. Meaning, they will enjoy fishing in it. We need to create as much storage as possible.

Not having to put a bench across the rear for people to set on and No boarding stool, I chose to create boarding steps and seating for a pair of passingers.

There is no reason for all that room in the rear of these old boats, other than they would put the battery in that area.

We have Plenty of room for control cables, steering cable and fuel lines. Battery will be located up forward next to the cabin bulkhead

This shows more of it installed with a flip up splashwell door.

The hatch covers open, the splashwell door can be unlatched and flipped down out of the way. Easy to access the engine and fuel filter system that will be installed.

This picture just shows more of the lay up structure with the step braces folded out

I dropped the step/seat down in top of the step brace. Got up on it with my 200 plus pounds and jumped on it.

This one will be safe to step on or jump on.
