Antenna that is. I don't know if to many boaters know about the fact that if you don't want a white Shakespeare VHF 8' Antenna you can purchase a black one. I have been purchasing them for about 7-8 years. You can get them at West Marine, but you have to pay big bucks for one. Around $180.00-190.00 plus tax.
The other day i went on e-Bay and type in "Shakespeare 5226-XT 8' Black VHF Antenna " up came a bunch of them with all kinds of prices. I went for the $126.99 price that includes free shipping and remember no tax as you are purchasing it from out of state. It came in one day. If you want a white one they are about the same prices. The price range are really crazy. My Skagit will have a black rubrail , black pin-striping on the burgundy deck so the black Antenna will tie in fine.So far on this Skagit project i have save about $400.00 on paint, seats, wiring, navigation equipment,VHF items , etc. Being it's been winter i have had the time to wait for items to arrive.
